The Turnover
A manager or closer enters with fresh questions and a new pitch. Their arrival does not erase your offer, your evidence, or your right to leave.
Do Not Reopen Settled Ground
The Simple Version
A turnover is a handoff to another dealership employee, often after the first conversation stalls. The new person may ask you to explain everything again or present a different mix of price, trade, cash, and payment. Repeat the same written position once.
Immediate Action
Written Position
Give every person the same page. A written target prevents accidental concessions during repetition.
Your Hard Stop
Leave at the time you chose, even if the next manager is “almost ready” with one more offer.
Battle Buddy
Have someone track every changed number and remind you when the conversation starts over.
