You can use this site without an account. The tools work in your browser. This page explains what may stay on your device and what happens when you follow an outside link.

No accounts or submitted tool entries
Outsmart the Lot has no site accounts. The amounts and notes you enter into calculators and worksheets are processed in your browser, not sent to the site owner. Some tools save work in this browser as described below.
The site does not provide a contact form, checkout, or newsletter signup. The tools do not need identity documents, Social Security numbers, bank details, full account numbers, or copies of credit reports. Keep those in your own secure files and use document references in notes.
Email you choose to send
If you email admin@outsmartthelot.com about a site correction, your email address, message, and any attachments go to the project inbox through email providers. This is separate from the drafts and records kept in your browser; the site does not automatically attach your worksheet entries.
Send only the details needed to explain the correction, such as the page address, relevant wording, and a supporting public source. Do not send identity documents, bank details, or full contracts.
Saved quotes and comparison work
The quote checker saves your current draft and saved offers in this browser's site data. This includes the vehicle and seller labels, entered amounts, credit conditions, financing terms, and notes. The decision worksheet also saves its entered comparison and assumptions locally. These records are not submitted to the site owner.
Saved work stays in this browser on this device; it does not automatically appear on another device or browser. Someone with access to this browser profile may be able to read it. Private browsing, clearing site data, or storage limits can prevent saving or remove records. Check the tool's saving status and download a copy of work you need to keep.
Use the clear or delete controls in the relevant tool to remove its saved work, or clear Outsmart the Lot's browser site data in browser settings to remove local tool records and checklist progress together. Deleting site data does not delete files you previously downloaded or printed.
Temporary timing, inspection, and other records
The timing, inspection, delivery, private-sale handoff, credit-application, and after-buying action records keep their entries only while that page is open. They do not save those notes in your browser's site data. Copy, download, or print before leaving or reloading the page. Standalone calculator entries are also temporary unless the tool explicitly identifies saved work.
Copying puts the selected text on your clipboard. A downloaded or printed record may remain in your downloads folder, cloud backup, or printer history. Importing a file into a tool reads it in your browser without uploading it to this site. Check an exported file before sharing it with anyone.
Buying-checklist progress stays in your browser
The detailed buying and leasing checklists save completed steps and your current section in this browser's site data so you can return to them on this device. That progress is not sent to the site owner or automatically transferred to another browser or device.
You can clear a checklist with its Reset progress control, or clear Outsmart the Lot's browser site data in your browser settings.
Cloudflare hosting and analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is currently off for this site, and we do not add its page-view script. Cloudflare still handles the web requests needed to show you this site, including ordinary connection and request information.

VINsmart handles vehicle-history reports, and Ko-fi handles optional tips. Those actions happen on their websites. Outsmart the Lot does not load a Ko-fi payment widget in the background; you visit Ko-fi only if you select its link.
When you follow a VINsmart or Ko-fi link, you leave this site and their privacy policies apply. VINsmart links are clearly labeled paid links, so Outsmart the Lot may earn a commission if you make a qualifying purchase. Official agency and other external links also lead to sites with their own data practices; this site does not submit your worksheet notes to them.
